Water main pipes connects the citywide water distribution system. The pipes carry both raw water to treatment plants and portable water to customers around the City's service areas. Water main pipes are mostly underground, are made of different materials (such as Steel, PVC, DI, VC, Copper, Concrete, CI, AC)and come in different sizes. Main lines are mapped from georeferenced engineering as-built record drawings. The drawings as well as GPS points collected after construction provide various attribute information. |
